Job Description
Rapco Groups Construction’s HR Department is urgently seeking a highly experienced and competent Electrical Engineer / Lead Site Engineer. The position is for a high-risk Saudi Aramco electrical power and substation project in Saudi Arabia. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating electrical activities related to power transformer replacement, including dismantling, shifting, installation, testing, and commissioning; managing daily electrical site activities; and coordinating with the Saudi Aramco client, site team, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, procurement, design teams, and other stakeholders. The role includes coordinating technical requirements, inspections, testing, commissioning activities, manpower, drawings, materials, work progress, and technical documentation, as well as ensuring the timely availability of electrical materials and equipment. The candidate must ensure that all electrical works comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project requirements, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements, independently manage site activities, and provide technical leadership to the electrical team. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering and have at least five years of relevant experience in electrical substation, power, or transformer projects, with strong experience in power transformers, shutdown activities, electrical power, testing, and commissioning. Previous Saudi Aramco project experience is highly preferred. Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers and a valid Saudi Arabia driving licence are mandatory. Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work independently in a high-risk and highly sensitive live Saudi Aramco facility. Important: this is an urgent requirement for a critical project, and the selected candidate must be capable of taking responsibility for the electrical activities and working professionally within Saudi Aramco facilities. A minimum one-month handover period with the current Electrical Engineer is required to ensure proper knowledge transfer and a smooth project transition.
