Job Description
Position Overview: - A highly experienced and responsible Waterproofing Supervisor is required to oversee waterproofing operations at multiple construction sites. - The selected candidate will supervise the waterproofing workforce, control the correct application of waterproofing systems, maintain high quality standards, and ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and approved schedules. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise day-to-day waterproofing activities and manage site manpower effectively. - Manage and coordinate waterproofing applicators and workers on site to ensure smooth operations and proper teamwork. - Verify that the required surface preparation is completed correctly before any waterproofing materials are applied. - Oversee the installation of waterproofing systems, including bituminous waterproofing membranes, cementitious waterproofing, liquid-applied membranes, polyurethane (PU) waterproofing, and other related waterproofing solutions. - Check waterproofing material quality, quantities, and correct storage at the construction site to prevent damage, degradation, or contamination. - Ensure all waterproofing works are carried out strictly as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturer guidelines and recommendations. - Inspect completed waterproofing works thoroughly to identify defects, possible leakage risks, and any areas that require repair or immediate attention. - Coordinate clearly and consistently with the Site Engineer, Project Manager, Consultants, and Main Contractor to keep the project aligned and resolve issues on time. - Monitor daily progress closely to ensure waterproofing works are completed within the assigned schedule and deadlines. - Prepare accurate daily progress reports and manpower utilization reports for project tracking and management review. - Enforce approved method statements and ensure all workers follow safety regulations and site safety requirements. - Conduct water tests and flood tests when required, and coordinate with the relevant inspection teams to confirm waterproofing performance. - Ensure completed waterproofing works are properly protected from damage before any subsequent construction activities begin. - Resolve site issues related to waterproofing activities and coordinate corrective actions to maintain project quality and protect the project timeline. - Maintain strong housekeeping standards and ensure waterproofing work areas remain clean, organized, and safe. Required Experience: - Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience supervising waterproofing works, preferably within construction projects. - Strong practical knowledge of different waterproofing materials, application methods, and waterproofing systems. - Experience with waterproofing works for water tanks, roofs, basements, wet areas, foundations, podiums, and concrete structures is highly preferred. - Ability to supervise, lead, and manage teams of waterproofing installers and applicators effectively. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, waterproofing details, and project specifications accurately. - Good knowledge of construction site safety procedures and quality control requirements related to waterproofing works. - Excellent communication skills and strong coordination ability for working with different project teams. - Ability to perform well under pressure and consistently meet strict project deadlines. Preferred Skills: - Detailed knowledge of waterproofing membrane installation methods and waterproofing detailing practices. - Familiarity with torch-applied bituminous waterproofing membranes and self-adhesive bituminous waterproofing membranes. - Strong understanding of cementitious waterproofing systems and polyurethane (PU) waterproofing systems. - Experience using sealants, joint treatments, protection boards, and related waterproofing accessories. - Ability to identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve leakage issues and waterproofing defects quickly.
