Commissioning Process Engineer
Job Description
An urgent requirement is available for an experienced Commissioning Process Engineer to support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and performance testing activities for the Master Gas Expansion Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the oil and gas, gas pipeline and EPC industry. Key responsibilities include supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and performance testing activities; preparing and reviewing commissioning procedures, checklists and system handover documentation; reviewing P&IDs, process datasheets, cause-and-effect diagrams and commissioning packages; coordinating process commissioning activities with Construction, Operations, Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation and Electrical teams; supporting system walkdowns, punch-list clearance, flushing, leak testing and functional testing; troubleshooting process-related issues during commissioning and start-up; supporting safe system handover and commissioning completion; and ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications and HSE requirements. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering and have 8–12+ years of oil and gas experience with a strong commissioning background, including proven experience in gas processing, gas transmission, pipelines or related facilities, hands-on experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up, and strong knowledge of P&IDs, process systems and commissioning procedures. Saudi Aramco project experience or exposure is highly preferred, previous Saudi Aramco approval or certification is an advantage, and SCE registration is required where applicable. Priority will be given to candidates with Saudi Aramco gas or pipeline commissioning experience and immediate availability.
