MEP Procurement Engineer
Job Description
Jazal Arabia Engineering Contracting Company is seeking an experienced MEP Procurement Engineer to work in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring MEP materials, equipment, and subcontractors for construction and civil fit-out projects while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The role includes procuring materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project specifications and schedules; obtaining quotations from approved suppliers and subcontractors and preparing comparative statements; negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best commercial value; coordinating with project managers, engineers, and the planning team to ensure timely material availability; preparing and issuing purchase orders and monitoring order status through delivery; evaluating and developing new suppliers while maintaining relationships with existing vendors; ensuring that all procured materials comply with project specifications and quality standards; coordinating with warehouse and site teams regarding material delivery and inspections; maintaining procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation; supporting cost-saving initiatives through effective sourcing and value engineering; and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of five years of experience in MEP procurement within construction or civil fit-out projects. Strong knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and the Saudi Arabian or GCC market is required, along with experience procuring HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV systems. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems and possess strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. A valid Saudi driving licence is preferred. Experience in commercial, retail, hospital, or fit-out projects is preferred, and immediate joiners will be given preference.
