Store Keeper – Heavy Commercial Truck Assembly Position Overview: The role of Store Keeper in the Heavy Commercial Truck Assembly department involves meticulous planning and management of material requirements aligned with production schedules and forecasted demands. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records by utilizing ERP systems efficiently. Regular cycle counts and audits must be conducted to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement material planning strategies based on detailed analysis of production schedules and forecast data. - Maintain and update precise inventory records within ERP platforms, ensuring real-time accuracy. - Perform routine cycle counts and comprehensive audits to verify inventory status and address discrepancies promptly. - Organize and manage the transport of materials from warehouse storage locations to the assembly line, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. - Liaise and coordinate closely with logistics teams to oversee inbound and outbound shipment activities, facilitating smooth material flow. - Verify that all incoming materials comply with specified technical specifications and meet established quality standards before acceptance. - Compile and prepare detailed reports covering material consumption, current inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics. - Collaborate effectively with production and quality assurance teams to support assembly operations and uphold product standards. Educational Qualifications: - ITI certification or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Professional Experience: - A minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience is required in the field of material management, specifically within automotive or heavy vehicle assembly environments. Technical Competencies: - Proficiency and hands-on experience with ERP systems and inventory management software are essential. - A solid understanding of automotive components and assembly line processes is necessary for this role. - Practical experience within the automobile parts industry is highly valued.
