Quality Lab Test Specialist
Job Description
A leading company in the lighting manufacturing industry is seeking a Quality Lab Test Specialist to join its Quality Department at its factory test laboratory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The key responsibilities include performing routine and type testing of finished lighting fixtures in accordance with applicable standards, conducting random sampling and testing from production lines, preparing and issuing accurate laboratory test reports, maintaining complete test records, operating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment, managing equipment calibration schedules, certificates and calibration status, reporting non-conformities, and supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining laboratory safety, housekeeping, documentation and quality requirements. Candidates must hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related technical field and have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in a testing laboratory is preferred, along with hands-on experience using lighting testing equipment, including integrating spheres, goniophotometers, power or electrical parameter analyzers, HiPot testers, insulation resistance testers and IP ingress protection testing facilities. Knowledge of IEC 60598, IEC 60529, IEC 61347, LM-79 and LM-80 is required. Experience with IEC 60079 or IECEx testing for explosion-proof luminaires is highly preferred, while familiarity with the IECEE CB Scheme, SASO requirements, SABER/SALEEM and SASO IECEE CoC is an advantage. Good technical reporting and documentation skills, good knowledge of MS Excel and good communication skills are required, while ERP/Odoo experience is preferred.
