Job Description

A Heat Exchanger Department Manager is required in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, within the oil and gas manufacturing and contracting industry. The job summary is to manage the complete Heat Exchanger Department, including the engineering, design, fabrication, testing, quality, and delivery of heat exchangers and related equipment in compliance with project and industry standards. Key responsibilities include leading heat exchanger engineering, fabrication, testing, and delivery activities; overseeing thermal and design calculations for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, air-cooled heat exchangers, and pressure vessels; ensuring compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, PED, and client specifications; coordinating with Engineering, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, Inspection, and Project teams; reviewing drawings, datasheets, calculations, MTOs, and technical documentation; managing client, consultant, and third-party inspection requirements; controlling project costs, schedules, manpower, and resources; supporting tenders, technical proposals, and cost estimation; ensuring departmental compliance with HSE and quality standards; and leading, mentoring, and developing engineers, designers, and supervisors. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Master’s degree preferred, and have 10–15+ years of relevant experience in heat exchanger design and manufacturing, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge of thermal design and engineering software, hands-on experience in fabrication, inspection, and testing, and strong leadership, project management, communication, and client coordination skills are required.
