Quality Control Technician
Job Description
A leading company in the low-voltage switchgear industry is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join its team. Job responsibilities include inspecting and testing electrical panels during and after the manufacturing process, performing quality inspections on low-voltage electrical panels, switchboards, motor control centres, and related electrical assemblies, and verifying wiring, components, labelling, dimensions, and workmanship against approved drawings and specifications. The role also involves conducting electrical tests, including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing; identifying and reporting non-conformities; following up on corrective actions; reviewing inspection and test results; maintaining quality control records; coordinating with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues; and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable quality standards. Requirements include a Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Experience in quality control or quality assurance, electrical panel manufacturing, or electrical testing is preferred. Candidates should have good knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control panels; be able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics; be familiar with electrical testing and measuring instruments; demonstrate good attention to detail and problem-solving skills; and be able to work in a manufacturing environment. Experience with low-voltage switchgear, MDB / SMDB, motor control centres, automatic transfer switches, control panels, and electrical panel inspection and testing is preferred.
Requirements
- Education
- Diploma Or Technical Certificate In Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Or A Related Field.
- Experience in QC/QA, electrical panel manufacturing, or electrical testing is preferred.
- Good knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control panels.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with electrical testing and measuring instruments.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
