Contracts Officer
Job Description
A construction company is seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to join its team for a project in Riyadh. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers; performing quantity take-offs and reviewing drawings, bills of quantities, and pricing; preparing requests for quotations and evaluating supplier proposals; building and maintaining strong professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors; negotiating competitive prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions; following up on purchase orders, deliveries, and contractual obligations; managing claims, variation orders, and progress payment certificates; and coordinating with the technical, finance, and procurement departments. The requirements are eight to ten years of previous experience in contracts and quantity surveying within construction companies, a strong network of suppliers in the construction and building-materials sector, excellent negotiation, communication, and cost-analysis skills, proficiency in quantity take-offs and Microsoft Excel, a relevant qualification preferably in Civil Engineering or Project Management, and good knowledge of the local market, suppliers, and material prices.
