AI Solutions, Agents & Applications Developer

Three full-time AI Solutions, Agents and Applications Developers are required in Saudi Arabia for the AI and Business Technology Solutions Department, reporting to the AI or Business Technology Solutions Leadership. Candidates may be based locally or hired from outside KSA with a visa provided. Applicants should have 3–4 years of professional software or AI development experience and practical, hands-on experience in designing, developing, integrating and deploying AI agents, AI-powered applications, chatbots, automation solutions and business-focused AI solutions. The role involves converting business requirements into working AI solutions across Generative AI, large language models, AI agents, APIs, automation, databases, web applications and enterprise integrations, with demonstrable project experience rather than only theoretical or academic knowledge. Responsibilities include designing and developing intelligent AI agents for business processes and workflows; developing solutions using large language models, Generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering and agentic AI; integrating AI models with enterprise applications, databases, APIs and business systems; developing AI-powered assistants that understand business context and execute defined tasks; implementing multi-step AI workflows, tool or function calling and agent orchestration; designing and developing AI chatbots and virtual assistants; building conversational experiences with large language models and natural language processing; integrating chatbots with websites, applications, WhatsApp and other approved communication channels; implementing knowledge-base and document-based question answering through retrieval-augmented generation; and improving chatbot accuracy, response quality, context handling and user experience. The developer will also develop web-based and business applications with AI capabilities, convert business requirements and use cases into functional AI solutions, develop dashboards, interfaces and workflow applications where required, integrate AI into existing enterprise applications, and develop prototypes and proofs of concept before converting successful proofs of concept into production-ready solutions. Further duties include developing and consuming REST APIs and web services; integrating AI solutions with ERP, CRM, HRMS, databases and other enterprise applications; working with JSON, authentication mechanisms and third-party APIs; developing middleware and integration components between AI solutions and business applications; working with structured and unstructured data; developing document-processing and knowledge-retrieval solutions; implementing retrieval-augmented-generation pipelines, embeddings and vector databases; working with SQL and relational databases; and performing the data preparation, transformation and validation required for AI applications. The role also includes developing clean, scalable and maintainable application code; participating in application architecture, development, testing and deployment; troubleshooting and optimising AI applications and integrations; maintaining technical documentation, source code and deployment procedures; and following software development, security and coding best practices. The developer will work closely with business and solution teams to understand real-world business problems, identify opportunities for AI to improve automation, productivity, decision-making and customer experience, translate business requirements into practical AI use cases, participate in customer discussions, demonstrations, proofs of concept and technical presentations, and support the development of reusable AI components and solution accelerators. Candidates should have practical working knowledge of several of the following: Generative AI, large language models, AI agents or agentic AI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, natural language processing, machine-learning fundamentals, embeddings and semantic search, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, REST APIs, JSON, web application development, Git, GitHub or an equivalent, LangChain or LangGraph, LlamaIndex or an equivalent, OpenAI APIs or equivalent large-language-model APIs, Azure AI, AWS AI, Google Cloud AI or an equivalent, AI agent frameworks, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or an equivalent, vector databases such as FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone or Weaviate or an equivalent, data processing and integration, REST API integration, authentication and authorisation, third-party API integration, webhooks, cloud deployment, and Docker, which is an advantage. A Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology is required, with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline. A B.Tech, B.E. or equivalent degree specialising in AI, Data Science or Computer Science is preferred. Candidates must have completed at least two to three AI or software projects with demonstrable hands-on contribution and should be able to explain their role, architecture, technologies used, challenges and business outcome for each project. Experience developing and deploying AI agents, chatbots, AI applications or Generative AI solutions is strongly preferred, while experience with enterprise or business applications is an advantage. Candidates should ideally have worked on at least two to three projects involving an AI agent or agentic AI solution, Generative AI application, enterprise AI assistant, AI chatbot or virtual assistant, retrieval-augmented-generation or knowledge-management solution, AI document processing, an AI-powered business application, AI-based automation, a predictive analytics or machine-learning application, AI integration with ERP, CRM or HRMS, a customer-service AI solution, or an AI-powered reporting or decision-support solution. The successful candidate should be hands-on and implementation-oriented, strong in problem-solving and logical thinking, and capable of developing an AI solution from concept to working prototype.
