IT Technician
Job Description
An IT Technician is required for a site-based position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Applicants must be Indian nationals and have two to three years of relevant, practical, hands-on experience in IT and networking. The position requirements include providing hands-on IT support at project sites; troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac systems; supporting printers, scanners, email systems and Microsoft Office applications; troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks, switches, routers, Wi-Fi connections and internet connectivity; performing CAT6 cabling, RJ45 connector crimping, patch-panel work and network-rack management; installing, supporting and troubleshooting CCTV systems, IP cameras, network video recorders, access-control systems and biometric systems; installing and maintaining IT and network infrastructure at project sites; managing IT asset handovers, tracking, inventory records and related documentation; providing user support and coordinating with vendors and service providers; and independently troubleshooting and resolving site IT issues. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field is required. Practical, hands-on experience in IT and networking is required. Construction or project-site experience is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work at project sites and travel between sites when required. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot and resolve site IT issues independently. Experience with Windows and Mac hardware and software, printers, scanners, email systems and Microsoft Office applications is required, as is knowledge of LAN and WAN networks, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, CAT6 cabling, RJ45 crimping, patch panels and network racks. Experience with CCTV systems, IP cameras, network video recorders, access-control systems and biometric systems is required, along with experience in IT asset handovers, tracking, inventory and documentation. Candidates must be able to support users and coordinate with vendors and service providers. Applicants should provide their current location, experience, Iqama status, registered profession and confirmation of whether their Iqama is transferable.
