ROLE OVERVIEW The TIG Welder’s primary responsibility is to perform welding operations on stainless steel components and structural elements in strict accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, established safety standards, and clearly defined welding procedures. Every welding activity must be completed efficiently, with careful attention to workmanship, accuracy, and compliance with all required procedures. All welding work must rigorously comply with applicable quality standards throughout the execution of each task. Full compliance with the construction and building codes applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be maintained at all times. The TIG Welder must comply fully with the company’s safety policies while carrying out all welding-related duties. The role requires close collaboration with site engineers to support the proper execution and timely completion of welding assignments. The role requires close coordination with supervisors to ensure welding tasks are performed as instructed and in line with site requirements. The TIG Welder must coordinate with other trades to support a smooth workflow, prevent delays, and integrate welding activities properly with other site operations. The TIG Welder must help ensure the timely completion of all assigned welding work. The TIG Welder must preserve the structural integrity of stainless steel components and structural elements by applying correct welding practices. Exemplary standards of workmanship must be maintained throughout the project. Strong safety protocols must be maintained throughout the project and during every welding-related activity. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out welding operations by following approved drawings. Perform welding operations in accordance with the applicable technical specifications. Perform welding operations according to clearly defined welding procedures. Prepare stainless steel components accurately before welding begins. Cut stainless steel components precisely according to the requirements of the work. Fit stainless steel components correctly to achieve proper alignment. Ensure stainless steel components are ready and positioned correctly for the welding process. Maintain strict quality control during all welding activities. Inspect every welded joint to verify that the required level of quality has been achieved. Inspect every welded joint to confirm correct alignment. Coordinate effectively with other trades to support the scheduled completion of welding work and related site activities. Maintain accurate documentation of all welding activities. Maintain comprehensive documentation relating to welding work carried out on site. Maintain inspection records as part of the required welding documentation. Prepare and maintain daily progress reports as required by the role. Monitor the use of welding consumables carefully and responsibly. Monitor the use of welding materials prudently to reduce unnecessary waste. Take practical measures to minimise wastage of welding consumables and materials. Promptly report any shortage of welding consumables or materials to the relevant personnel. Provide guidance to junior welders whenever necessary. QUALIFICATIONS A Higher Secondary School Certificate is the minimum educational qualification required. A Technical Diploma specialising in TIG Welding is required. EXPERIENCE A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working as a TIG Welder is required. Experience working on construction projects is preferred. Experience working on industrial projects is preferred. COMPETENCIES Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding techniques is required. Demonstrated proficiency in fabrication methods is required. The candidate must be able to read technical drawings effectively. The candidate must be able to interpret technical drawings accurately.
