Logistics Project Head
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Project Head to lead and manage end-to-end outbound logistics operations across two petrochemical plants in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a hands-on logistics professional with strong experience in petrochemical plant logistics operations, planning, execution, distribution, client management, manpower management, and operational reporting. The successful candidate will lead outbound logistics operations across both plants, ensure smooth and efficient 24/7 operations, coordinate outbound activities with Sales, Inventory, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams, understand production plans, and ensure the timely allocation and distribution of materials according to customer requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring material availability, customer orders, priorities, dispatch plans, and delivery commitments; managing transportation, loading, dispatch, and delivery activities; serving as the primary on-site client contact and maintaining strong customer relationships; attending daily client meetings and presenting operational updates, KPIs, shipment status, manpower reports, performance reports, and action plans; preparing customized reports and presentations according to client and management requirements; managing manpower deployment, shift schedules, attendance, performance, and team productivity; monitoring operational KPIs and identifying opportunities for service improvement, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement; proactively identifying operational challenges and implementing effective corrective actions; ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, client procedures, company policies, and operational standards; and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics operation. Applicants must have at least 10 years of logistics experience, preferably in plant, manufacturing, or outbound logistics operations, strong experience in on-site logistics and project management, a good understanding of production, inventory, sales, planning, allocation, and material distribution, strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience, experience managing manpower and three-shift operations, strong knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP systems, excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and presentation skills, and excellent communication skills. A locally transferable Iqama is required, and applicants must currently reside in Saudi Arabia and be based in Jubail or Dammam.
