Job Description
A full-time Computer Hardware Technician is required to work in a computer shop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the Kafeel/Sponsor system. Candidates must have a diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Computer Hardware, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, together with 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Computer Hardware Technician; experience exceeding five years is not required. The key responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, and other computer hardware; repairing and replacing defective components, including RAM, hard drives and SSDs, power supplies, motherboards, processors, cooling systems, and graphics cards; assembling and configuring desktop computers according to customer requirements; installing and configuring Windows operating systems and required drivers; performing hardware upgrades, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and servicing; troubleshooting printers, monitors, keyboards, mice, networking devices, and other computer peripherals; diagnosing hardware- and software-related problems and providing appropriate solutions; installing and configuring basic computer applications and utilities; performing data backups, data transfers, and basic system recovery when required; testing repaired computers and ensuring that they function properly before delivery to customers; maintaining accurate records of repair jobs, spare parts, and equipment; assisting customers in selecting suitable computer hardware and accessories; maintaining the cleanliness and proper organization of the workshop and repair area; handling customer inquiries professionally and providing updates on repair status; following company procedures related to repairs, warranties, spare parts, and customer service; and performing any other duties related to computer hardware and technical support as assigned by management. Applicants should have strong practical knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, good knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, experience in computer assembly, repair, upgrading, and maintenance, knowledge of printers, monitors, networking equipment, and computer peripherals, the ability to identify hardware faults and replace defective components, good communication and customer-handling skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a computer shop or IT repair centre is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work in Riyadh under the Kafeel/Sponsor system.
