Power Engineer, Electrical Technician

Freelance MEP staff are required in Saudi Arabia for an LV and MV substation testing and commissioning project. The available positions are Electrical Technician for LV and MV Substations Testing and Commissioning and Power Engineer or Electrical Technician for LV and MV Substations. Job description: We are seeking experienced and motivated professionals to join the testing and commissioning team. Responsibilities include testing and commissioning LV and MV substations, conducting MV switchgear testing and commissioning activities, performing LV panel testing and functional checks, checking control and protection schemes, identifying conflicts between system requirements, engineering designs and installed systems, reviewing engineering drawings, diagrams and equipment ratings, and preparing, reviewing and modifying electrical documents and drawings, including single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and control and wiring diagrams. The role also involves close coordination with other engineering disciplines and site teams, effective communication and coordination of project activities with project managers, engineers, clients and consultants, and supporting troubleshooting, inspection, testing and commissioning activities on site. Candidates should have experience in LV and MV power systems and substations, practical experience in testing and commissioning, knowledge of electrical protection, control systems and LV and MV switchgear, the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and engineering diagrams, strong communication and coordination skills, a willingness to learn quickly, a professional and positive attitude, good English communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a professional engineering team.
