Job Description

The job overview is that we are seeking a skilled and reliable Automation Technician with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing environment. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, and the successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated machinery, control systems, and PLC-driven production lines to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include performing routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on automated production equipment, robotics, conveyor systems, sensors, and motor drives; diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system faults using schematics, multimeters, and diagnostic software; monitoring and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems and making basic programming adjustments; calibrating sensors, switches, actuators, and transducers to ensure accurate production measurements and compliance with safety standards; assisting with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated machinery and control system upgrades; strictly following company safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and quality assurance standards; and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, spare parts inventory, and system modifications. Key requirements and qualifications include 2 to 3 years of direct experience as an Automation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Control Systems Technician in a manufacturing or production plant, along with a diploma or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs; have experience with major PLC systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or Mitsubishi; possess a good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drive systems; demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail; and be able to work efficiently under production deadlines. The working conditions require duty hours of 10 hours per day.
