Project Engineer

We are pleased to announce an open opportunity for the position of Project Engineer – MEP at Yaseen Modern Contracting Company (YMCC), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. YMCC is actively seeking a qualified and dedicated individual with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive competence and practical experience in MEP systems, along with exemplary project coordination skills. This role demands confidence in client interactions, thorough project documentation management, effective MEP coordination, and efficient site execution. The successful applicant must demonstrate the capability to manage various project requirements with professionalism and precision. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Attending and effectively representing the company in meetings involving clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives. - Coordinating and diligently following up on MEP installation and execution activities at the project site to maintain progress and quality standards. - Reviewing and exercising control over critical project documentation such as Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Work Inspection Requests (WIR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection Request Forms (IRF), Method Statements, Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, Technical Submittals, and As-Built Documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. - Maintaining close coordination with MEP engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to facilitate smooth project workflow and timely issue resolution. - Monitoring overall project progress to verify that works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and all contractual obligations. - Preparing and reviewing various technical documents, comprehensive reports, and regular project progress updates to keep stakeholders fully informed. - Identifying on-site challenges promptly and coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders to implement timely and effective solutions. - Ensuring all project documentation and records are meticulously maintained throughout the project lifecycle for ease of reference and compliance purposes. - Conducting professional and confident communications with clients and consultants, particularly during technical discussions and decision-making processes. The candidate must fulfill the following requirements: - Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. - Proven and strong practical knowledge of MEP works, preferably within the context of building construction projects. - A solid understanding of critical systems including Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. - Thorough familiarity with project documentation, inspection procedures, and quality assurance practices related to construction and MEP activities. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse teams and external stakeholders. - Confidence and professionalism in attending and contributing to meetings with clients and consultants. - Adeptness in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, BOQ, and coordinating complex project requirements. - Strong organizational abilities, with a keen eye for documentation accuracy and project tracking. - Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia is regarded as an advantageous asset. Preferred candidates for this position are of Indian or Pakistani nationality.
