Job Description

We are seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for the on-site installation, wiring, commissioning, and system integration of pedestrian turnstiles, parking barriers, access control gates, access control and attendance terminals, and other related equipment. The role includes conducting regular equipment inspections, cleaning, dust removal, mechanical lubrication, and other preventive maintenance activities while maintaining proper maintenance records. The technician will respond promptly to customer service requests and troubleshoot equipment at the service centre or customer sites, diagnose faults, and independently identify, replace, and repair defective printed circuit boards, motors, sensors, power supply modules, control boards, card readers, cameras, and other components. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting abnormal barrier operation, access control gates that fail to open or close, identification or recognition failures, network communication interruptions, equipment freezing or crashing, and other related faults. The technician will communicate directly with customers, provide basic technical support, guide customers in daily equipment operation, give timely feedback on on-site equipment issues and customer requirements, and support the company with repairs, spare-parts replacement, and small-scale system modifications or upgrades. Applicants must hold a technical secondary school or high school diploma or above; a major in Electrical Automation, Electromechanical Integration, Electronic Engineering or Technology, Security Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. At least two years of experience in security equipment, ELV systems, or related electrical or mechanical equipment maintenance and repair is required, while hands-on experience independently repairing parking barriers, access control systems, and pedestrian turnstiles is preferred. Candidates should have a good understanding of basic low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems and ELV principles, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve control-circuit and motor-related faults; be proficient in using common testing and repair tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, and hot-air rework stations, although an oscilloscope is not required; and be capable of PCB-level troubleshooting, fault analysis, component soldering, desoldering, and replacement. Basic understanding of the operating principles of access control controllers, barrier control boards, licence-plate-recognition cameras, facial-recognition terminals, and other related security devices is required, along with basic networking knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot common communication issues involving IP configuration, network-cable continuity, and connectivity. The candidate should be hardworking, responsible, detail-oriented, customer-service oriented, and a good communicator, and must be able to adapt to occasional on-site or customer-site service and repair work. A valid driving licence and good driving skills are preferred. Experience repairing access control and barrier equipment from major brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, or other mainstream security equipment manufacturers is an advantage, as are relevant qualifications such as an Electrical Technician or Electrician Licence for low or high voltage, ELV Engineer certification, a Welding Certificate, or other related certifications. The ability to read and understand electrical circuit diagrams and perform basic electrical circuit analysis is also preferred.
