Special Projects Manager (Glass & Aluminium)
Job Description
The Special Projects Manager (Glass and Aluminium) is responsible for planning and developing projects, handing them over to the consultants’ office on time and within the permitted cost, and developing relationships with customers, contractors and owners. The role includes maintaining work quality in accordance with specifications and standards, submitting periodic project status reports to management, delegating responsibilities among engineers, supervisors and workers, negotiating and securing new projects, developing projects and the business plan, setting deadlines and monitoring project progress, and ensuring that subordinates are properly oriented and trained to perform their tasks. The manager must ensure that the department operates in compliance with company policies and regulations and labour law, identify and resolve arising issues, contribute ideas and techniques for the continuous improvement of the department and employee performance, prepare the departmental budget in alignment with the company’s overall objectives, conduct key performance indicators for individuals and the department, and ensure that the department’s profitability reflects the company’s overall budget and profit and loss.
