Machinist
Job Description
A machinist is urgently required for workshop work. The key requirements for this role are a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant workshop machining experience and strong experience operating conventional and manual machines. Experience in turbine, compressor, pump, motor, or other rotating-equipment workshops is highly preferred. The role requires the ability to read engineering drawings and machining dimensions, a good understanding of machining tolerances, fits, clearances, and surface finishes, and the ability to select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds. Candidates should have experience machining shafts, sleeves, bushes, bearings, couplings, rotors, and other rotating-equipment components, as well as knowledge of workshop safety procedures and proper machine maintenance. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and achieve the required machining tolerances.
