Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Specialist in Fire Protection to join our consulting team and oversee the design, review, and construction supervision of advanced firefighting and fire alarm systems for large-scale construction projects, ensuring 100% compliance with local civil defence regulations and international safety standards. The responsibilities include evaluating and approving contractor-submitted designs for firefighting, fire suppression systems such as sprinkler, foam, and gas systems, and fire alarm schematic designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, NFPA codes, and local authority requirements; ensuring that all proposed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts integrate seamlessly with the overall architectural and structural design; conducting regular site inspections to verify that the contractor’s installation of piping, pumps, panels, and detection devices matches the approved drawings and the highest industry standards; witnessing and certifying all pressure tests, flow tests, and system commissioning to confirm reliable operation in emergency scenarios; reviewing contractor submittals, material approvals, and requests for information, and representing the consultant in client and contractor meetings; and identifying, documenting, and tracking the rectification of non-compliance issues and snags during the construction phases. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering and have 6 to 8 years of experience in fire protection engineering, specifically acting on behalf of an engineering consultant or owner’s representative on construction projects. A Professional Engineering licence or equivalent is required, while NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist certification is highly preferred. In Saudi Arabia, membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers and Civil Defense approval are mandatory. Candidates must have deep expertise in hydraulic calculations, fire pump sizing, hazard classification, and advanced addressable fire alarm systems, together with mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software such as SAIS.

- Experience
- 6 – 8 Years
- Professional Engineering (PE) licence or equivalent.
- NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in hydraulic calculations, fire pump sizing, hazard classification, and advanced addressable fire alarm systems.
- Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software such as SAIS.
- Experience acting on behalf of an engineering consultant or owner’s representative on construction projects.
