Job Description

One Mechanical In-Service Inspection Inspector is required for a full-time position in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, starting on 1 October 2026, to support inspection activities at a refinery or petrochemical plant. The successful candidate will carry out in-service inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, and related plant facilities to ensure safe and reliable operation and compliance with applicable inspection standards and industry practices. Responsibilities include inspecting refinery and petrochemical plant equipment and piping; using calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, infrared cameras, borescopes, and other relevant inspection equipment; inspecting equipment that has been repaired, modified, or altered to verify its suitability for the intended service; identifying defects, deterioration, corrosion, damage, and other conditions affecting equipment integrity; reviewing inspection findings to determine whether equipment is suitable for continued operation; preparing detailed inspection reports, findings, and recommendations; maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation; coordinating with client and site personnel regarding inspection requirements and findings; and providing technical recommendations based on inspection results. Applicants must have at least eight years of experience in in-service inspection at refinery or petrochemical plants, an engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline, strong practical experience inspecting equipment and piping in operating refinery or petrochemical facilities, and good knowledge of applicable API inspection standards, including API 510, API 570, API 653, API 598, API 572, API 576, and related standards. Candidates must hold at least two valid API certifications from API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspector, and API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector. They must also be able to independently prepare professional inspection reports and recommendations and possess good communication and reporting skills. Candidates currently available in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
