Electrician Cum Duct Technician
Job Description
We are urgently seeking an experienced Electrician cum Duct Technician to work on construction, MEP, maintenance and contracting projects in Saudi Arabia, with the current location in Riyadh. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work anywhere in the Kingdom according to project requirements. The position includes a food allowance, company accommodation and overtime. Immediate joining is required, and freelance candidates or holders of their own valid Iqama are preferred. Applicants must be up to 40 years of age and have mandatory relevant construction or MEP site experience, while experience in electrical, HVAC and ducting, civil, MEP, maintenance or contracting works is preferred. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems at construction sites; carrying out electrical wiring, conduit installation, cable pulling and termination; installing lighting systems, switches, sockets, distribution boards and electrical equipment; reading and understanding electrical drawings and technical specifications; performing electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance; assisting with MEP installation and coordination activities; identifying and rectifying electrical faults and site issues; and ensuring that electrical work complies with project specifications and safety requirements. Responsibilities also include installing and assembling galvanized iron ducting and HVAC air-distribution systems; carrying out duct fabrication, cutting, installation and jointing as required; installing duct supports, hangers, insulation and related accessories; installing and connecting diffusers, grilles, dampers and flexible ducts; reading and understanding HVAC and duct-layout drawings and site measurements; assisting with HVAC installation, maintenance and modification works; checking duct alignment, level, dimensions and proper sealing; coordinating duct installation with electrical, plumbing, firefighting and other MEP works; identifying and rectifying duct and HVAC installation issues at site; and following approved drawings, project specifications, quality requirements and HSE procedures. The technician must coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other site teams, maintain proper housekeeping and safe working practices, use tools, equipment and materials properly, follow site instructions, safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements, and complete assigned work within project schedules and quality standards. - Ability to install and assemble GI ducting and HVAC air-distribution systems.
- Ability to fabricate, cut, install and joint ducts, including duct supports, hangers, insulation and related accessories.
- Ability to coordinate electrical, plumbing, firefighting and other MEP works.
- Ability to follow project specifications, quality requirements, HSE procedures, safety instructions and PPE requirements.
