Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Swimming Pool Operator or Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Role summary: the successful candidate will manage the daily operation, cleaning, and chemical treatment of the swimming pool, ensuring that it remains safe, clean, and fully functional at all times. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and circulation systems; testing water quality daily, including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity, and making adjustments as needed; safely adding and handling pool chemicals such as chlorine, algaecide, and pH balancers; cleaning pool surfaces, tiles, decks, and surrounding areas; regularly skimming debris, vacuuming the pool floor, and backwashing filters; maintaining accurate water-quality and maintenance logs; following pool safety standards and hygiene protocols; storing and handling chemicals according to safety guidelines; and reporting equipment issues or required repairs to management. Requirements include at least 1–2 years of experience as a pool operator or technician, working knowledge of pool water chemistry and safety procedures, the ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks, and a basic understanding of pool equipment and mechanics. Pool operator certification, such as CPO or an equivalent qualification, is an advantage. The candidate must be responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
