Cable Splicer and Jointer
Job Description
Perform installation and termination of LV, MV, and HV cables in compliance with approved procedures and manufacturer's instructions. Carry out cable splicing and jointing using RPTI (Raychem Push-on Indoor Termination), RSTI (Raychem Screened Separable T-Connector/Termination), and Heat Shrink Cable Terminations. Execute Heat Shrink Straight Through Joints and Heat Shrink Transition Joints. Prepare cable ends, including stripping, crimping, lugging, insulation rebuilding, and sealing. Install cable glands, lugs, connectors, stress control tubes, and insulation tubes with accuracy. Valid Raychem certification is mandatory for this position.
Requirements
- Valid Raychem certification is mandatory.
- Experience with LV, MV, and HV cable installation and termination.
- Ability to perform cable splicing and jointing using RPTI, RSTI, and heat-shrink termination systems.
- Ability to complete cable-end preparation, including stripping, crimping, lugging, insulation rebuilding, and sealing.
- Ability to install cable glands, lugs, connectors, stress-control tubes, and insulation tubes accurately.
