Fleet Supervisor

Vacancy Details: • Position: Fleet Supervisor – Ready-Mix Concrete. • Employment type: Full-time. • The vacancy is with a reputable company operating in Saudi Arabia and across the GCC region. • Job location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. • Applicants must have direct experience in the ready-mix concrete field. • Candidates without relevant ready-mix concrete experience will not be considered for this role. Job Responsibilities: • Supervise hourly workforce activities while exercising discretion, sound judgment, and professional decision-making. • Manage workforce-related responsibilities, including hiring, directing, training, counseling, and taking disciplinary action. • Monitor drivers’ timecards daily to ensure accuracy and the proper recording of working hours. • Oversee drivers’ start-of-day and end-of-day schedules to support efficient time management. • Audit driver performance using Key Performance Indicators and other operational performance measures. • Track, manage, and coordinate drivers’ time-off requests, schedules, and related workforce planning requirements. • Conduct direct visual observations of fleet operations, driver activities, and daily transport movements. • Coordinate, arrange, and facilitate driver training programs as required to support operational performance and safety. • Manage the assignment and allocation of drivers and vehicles according to operational requirements. • Organize weekly walk-around inspections to support fleet safety, vehicle readiness, and compliance with operational standards. • Arrange and lead safety meetings to maintain safe working practices across fleet and driver operations. • Investigate accidents and incidents involving drivers, fleet activities, or transport operations. • Administer and process drug-screening protocols as part of accident and incident investigation procedures. Qualifications: • Computer proficiency is mandatory, including confident use of Microsoft Office applications. • Strong written communication skills are required for reporting, coordination, and operational follow-up. • Strong verbal communication skills are required for supervising drivers and coordinating across teams. • A high school diploma is required as the minimum educational qualification. • An associate degree is preferred. • A minimum of five years of experience specifically within the ready-mix concrete sector is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for effective coordination and supervision. • Ability to manage, guide, and influence others even when direct authority is not always available. • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across different divisions and functional areas. • Ability to work effectively within teams while demonstrating leadership qualities. • Strong independent problem-solving skills to address operational challenges relating to fleet activities. • Strong people-management skills to support drivers, teams, and operational staff. • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. • A disciplined, process-oriented approach to managing fleet operations in a structured manner. Working Conditions: • The role requires the ability to work extended hours when operational demands require additional time. • The role requires comfort and proficiency when using standard office and computer equipment. Candidate Consideration: • Only candidates with proven experience in fleet, transport, and driver management within the ready-mix concrete field will be considered. • Candidates without direct and relevant ready-mix concrete experience will not be considered.

Education
