HSE Engineer I
Job Description
We are seeking an HSE Engineer I in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to support the implementation and continual improvement of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and RC 14001. The role involves working alongside senior HSE personnel and operational teams to help maintain a safe and compliant working environment across the site, assisting with risk assessments, including HIRA and JHA, hazard identification and control measures, incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. The successful candidate will also support HSE training, onboarding, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns; conduct routine site inspections and help evaluate operational controls; assist with emergency response planning, drills, and simulations; collect and analyse HSE performance data and key performance indicators and prepare draft reports; and support regulatory submissions and compliance documentation for SAIS, MODON, NCEC, Aramco, and other relevant authorities. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; be familiar with OSHA, EPA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SAIS SAF standards; have strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and hazard control; possess good analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; and be proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management software. Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are required. This is a full-time position, and local transfer only is required.
