House Cook

A full-time house cook is required in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to prepare daily meals for a private household. The ideal candidate should be experienced and reliable, skilled in preparing a variety of cuisines, committed to high standards of hygiene, and able to manage kitchen activities efficiently. Responsibilities include preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as required; cooking a variety of Arabic, Indian, Asian, and international dishes; planning menus according to household preferences and dietary requirements; purchasing or coordinating the purchase of fresh groceries and kitchen supplies; maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment; storing food properly and monitoring its freshness and expiry dates; maintaining appropriate food portions and minimizing wastage; preparing meals according to specific dietary or nutritional requirements; maintaining kitchen inventory and informing the household when supplies need replenishment; and following safe food-handling and cooking practices. Applicants must have previous experience as a house cook, private chef, or family cook; good knowledge of different cuisines and cooking methods; the ability to prepare fresh, healthy, and hygienic meals; good organizational and time-management skills; and a trustworthy, respectful, clean, and reliable character. The candidate must also be able to work independently and manage household meal requirements. Experience working for private families or VIP households in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region is preferred.
