Job Description
Masons, carpenters and steel fixers are required for work in Bahrain. Responsibilities for masons include performing brickwork, blockwork, plastering, concrete work and other masonry activities; reading and following construction drawings and site instructions; preparing and finishing walls, floors and other structures; ensuring the proper quality and alignment of all masonry work; and following site safety rules while maintaining a clean working area. Responsibilities for carpenters include carrying out formwork, shuttering, wooden-structure, door, frame and related carpentry work; reading measurements, construction drawings and work instructions; cutting, shaping and installing wood and other materials accurately; performing maintenance and repair work when required; and following construction and safety standards. Responsibilities for steel fixers include cutting, bending, fixing and tying reinforcement steel according to construction drawings; installing reinforcement bars for foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other structures; maintaining the correct measurements, spacing and positioning of steel reinforcement; using hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently; and following construction quality and safety requirements. Previous experience in the respective trade is required. Candidates must have good knowledge of construction work and relevant tools, be able to work in a construction-site environment, be physically fit and able to perform manual work, and follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions. Masons must have experience in brickwork, blockwork, plastering, concrete work, wall and floor finishing, and maintaining proper masonry alignment. Carpenters must have experience in formwork, shuttering, wooden structures, doors, frames, accurate cutting and shaping, installation, maintenance and repairs. Steel fixers must have experience in cutting, bending, fixing and tying reinforcement steel, including reinforcement work for foundations, columns, beams and slabs. All candidates must be able to read and follow construction drawings, measurements, site instructions and work instructions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the respective trade.
- Good knowledge of construction work and relevant tools.
