MEP Engineer
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a strong construction background and hands-on experience in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, preferably across high-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects. Current Bahrain MEP postings similarly emphasize site execution, drawing coordination, subcontractor supervision, and testing/commissioning. Key Responsibilities - Plan, coordinate, and supervise MEP construction activities from installation through testing and commissioning. - Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations. - Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. - Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams. - Supervise MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers. - Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality of installation. - Identify and resolve technical issues, clashes, and site coordination problems. - Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions. - Monitor manpower, materials, project progress, and MEP work schedules. - Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover. - Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management. - Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations. - Prepare daily and weekly MEP progress reports. - Attend technical and coordination meetings and provide engineering solutions to site issues. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field. - 3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience. - Strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. - Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects is highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of MEP installation, coordination, testing, and commissioning. - Ability to read and interpret MEP/shop drawings and technical specifications. - Experience managing subcontractors and site teams. - Good knowledge of construction procedures, QA/QC, and HSE requirements. - Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage. - Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred. - Must be currently available in Bahrain. - Immediate joiner is highly preferred. Preferred Candidate Candidates with strong Bahrain construction experience, particularly those who have worked on high-rise buildings and large villa projects, will be given priority.
