Assistant Safety Officer
Job Description
Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, hazards, and near misses. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment, housekeeping, safe work practices, and compliance with HSE requirements. Inspect fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, emergency equipment, exits, and safety signage. Assist with toolbox talks, safety inductions, briefings, awareness programmes, and emergency drills. Report incidents, hazards, and safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions. Assist with incident investigations and maintain HSE inspection records and reports. Support the HSE team in implementing company safety policies and other HSE activities.
Requirements
- Education
- High School / 12th Class
- Experience
- 2 Years
- High School or 12th Class pass.
- At least 2 years of HSE experience in construction, steel factory, ready-mix, or industrial environments.
- Fluent Hindi, with basic English and Arabic.
- Physically fit for outdoor site conditions involving heat and dust.
- Willing to work overtime and rotate between sites as required.
- Safety diplomas, IOSH, or OSHA certificates are highly preferred.
- Experience with site safety inspections, PPE compliance monitoring, toolbox talks, emergency drills, incident investigations, HSE reporting, and corrective-action follow-up.
- Full-time position.
