Project Planning Engineer
Job Description
The job description covers the need for an experienced Project Planning Engineer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling construction project activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, preparing baseline programs, work schedules, and project timelines, monitoring project progress and comparing actual performance with planned schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams, identifying delays, critical activities, and potential schedule risks, preparing weekly and monthly progress reports, tracking manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities against the approved schedule, assisting with the preparation of recovery and mitigation plans for project delays, reviewing subcontractor schedules and monitoring their progress, preparing progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and other planning documents, and maintaining proper project records and documentation. The requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects, strong knowledge of construction planning and scheduling, proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, good knowledge of project controls, progress monitoring, and reporting, and strong communication and coordination skills. GCC experience is preferred. Applicants must be locally available in Bahrain and must be immediate joiners or available on short notice.
