Import Executive
Job Description
Manages the process of bringing goods from international suppliers into the country, from purchase order through customs clearance and final delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating international purchase orders and supplier shipments; communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents; preparing and verifying commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading or airway bills, certificates of origin, and other import documents; tracking shipments and ensuring timely delivery; coordinating customs clearance and resolving documentation issues; checking Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, and EXW; calculating and monitoring landed costs, including freight, duties, taxes, and clearance charges; maintaining import records and updating ERP systems; monitoring inventory and coordinating with the warehouse and supply chain team; negotiating freight and supplier costs where applicable; and ensuring compliance with applicable import regulations.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree In Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Commerce, Or A Related Field
- Experience
- 2 – 5 Years
- Good knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures.
- Strong Excel and ERP skills.
