Hiring Information A leading MEP contracting firm is hiring a full-time Electrical Quantity Surveyor for its team in Manama, Bahrain. Position Overview The company is seeking a meticulous and highly motivated Electrical Quantity Surveyor to become part of its professional team based in Bahrain. The role is connected to electrical engineering projects within an MEP contracting environment. Applications are welcomed from fresh graduates with strong academic records, as well as from candidates who already have professional quantity surveying experience in the electrical engineering field. The position involves supporting cost management, tendering, measurement, valuations, claims, procurement support, cost control, and project account activities for electrical works. Key Responsibilities Cost Management: Prepare accurate and detailed bills of quantities for electrical projects. Prepare tender documentation related to electrical works. Carry out comprehensive material take-offs for electrical project requirements. Support the preparation of cost-related documents used during tendering and project execution. Valuations and Claims: Process contractor payment applications efficiently and accurately. Evaluate project variations that arise throughout the project lifecycle. Support the preparation, review, and finalisation of project accounts. Maintain proper attention to measurement, valuation, and claim-related details for electrical works. Procurement Support: Assist with sourcing subcontractors required for project procurement needs. Support the evaluation of subcontractors as part of the procurement process. Coordinate quantity surveying input needed for subcontractor assessment and project purchasing activities. Cost Control: Measure project works precisely in line with project requirements. Monitor project budgets on an ongoing basis. Contribute to monthly cost reporting for effective financial control. Support the project team by providing accurate quantity surveying information for cost tracking and reporting. Candidate Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory. Fresh graduates may apply if they have strong academic records. Candidates with professional experience in electrical quantity surveying may also apply. Experience of 1 to 2 years or more in quantity surveying is acceptable, preferably with exposure to the GCC or Bahrain market. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Strong English communication skills are required, both written and verbal. Candidates must be currently residing in Bahrain.
