Cake Artist/Decorator

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Cake Artist/Decorator to join the cake art team on a full-time basis in Manama. The successful candidate will work with edible ingredients to create visually appealing cake and pastry designs, communicate with customers to understand their cake vision, decorate cakes and other pastries, and collaborate with team members in a bakery environment to complete customer orders. Duties include consulting with clients to understand their event and cake requirements, creating preliminary cake designs through drawings or other mock-ups for approval, decorating cakes and pastries using a variety of tools and ingredients, preparing cake batters, fillings, icings and other required cake components, sculpting cakes into intricate shapes and forms, collaborating with chefs, bakers and other team members to ensure the quality and visual appeal of finished products, ordering necessary supplies, managing tool and ingredient inventory, and keeping workspaces and equipment clean and sanitary. Qualifications for this role include a certificate or degree in culinary arts or baking, which is preferred, and a minimum of two years of experience in a similar fast-paced environment. Creativity and passion for cake art are required, as is the ability to paint artwork on cakes. Applicants must hold a Flexi Visa.
