Commercial Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking a sharp IT Commercial Estimator. This role bridges technical presales and finance operations. The successful candidate will evaluate commercial tender documents, including requests for proposals and requests for quotations, calculate accurate cost estimates for hardware deployments and maintenance contracts, and develop multi-year revenue and margin projections. Responsibilities include reviewing technical scopes of work, Bills of Quantities and tender requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates, margin calculations and final commercial pricing structures for corporate client proposals; building predictive financial models for long-term maintenance agreements and service-level agreements, including hardware depreciation, spare-parts forecasting, technician labour-hour rates and recurring consumables such as printer and toner fleet consumption models; coordinating with principal vendors including Dell, HP, Lenovo and APC, as well as distributors, to secure competitive deal registrations, project back-line pricing and volume rebates that protect profit margins; producing project-level cash-flow forecasts, revenue-recognition schedules and gross-margin projections for enterprise account teams and management review; and analysing commercial risks in prospective deals, assessing potential cost overruns and calculating pricing for variation-order requests during active project delivery. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or Information Technology is required, together with at least five years of experience in cost estimation, commercial proposal pricing or presales financial modelling within the GCC IT hardware, enterprise software or systems integration market. A deep understanding of enterprise IT hardware pricing, including servers, storage, PCs, networking equipment and UPS systems, as well as multi-year IT service-contract pricing structures, is required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial formulas, scenario modelling and pivot tables, and experience with ERP systems are also required. Candidates must be based in Manama, Bahrain, or be willing to relocate there. This is a full-time position.

- Minimum five years of experience in cost estimation, commercial proposal pricing, or presales financial modelling within the GCC IT hardware, enterprise software, or systems integration market.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT hardware pricing, including servers, storage, PCs, networking equipment, and UPS systems.
- Knowledge of multi-year IT service-contract pricing structures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex financial formulas, scenario modelling, and pivot tables.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience preparing tender estimates, commercial pricing, margin calculations, financial projections, cash-flow forecasts, revenue-recognition schedules, and variation-order pricing.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and distributors and assess commercial risks, cost overruns, deal registrations, back-line pricing, and volume rebates.
