Quantity Surveyor, Land Surveyor

Job summary: The Quantity Surveyor and Land Surveyor will be based in Manama and employed on a full-time basis. The role is responsible for quantity measurement, quantity take-offs, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), site and land measurements, cost estimation, and commercial documentation for construction projects. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of civil and building construction and will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, project management, engineers, procurement teams, and consultants. Responsibilities include conducting accurate site and land measurements and quantity take-offs for construction works; preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and quantity reports; reviewing architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications; verifying quantities of completed works on site; monitoring material quantities, usage, wastage, and project costs; preparing interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims; evaluating variations, additional works, change orders, and site instructions; reviewing subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications; assisting with tendering, estimation, procurement, and commercial evaluations; maintaining accurate records of measurements, quantities, variations, and project costs; and assisting with final accounts, cost reports, and commercial documentation. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is required, along with three to five years of relevant experience in construction quantity surveying and/or land surveying. Strong knowledge of civil and building construction is required. Practical experience in quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, estimation, measurements, valuations, and cost control is required, as is the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD is required, while knowledge of surveying or quantity surveying software is an advantage. Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and communication skills are required. Previous construction experience in Bahrain is highly preferred, and candidates must currently be available in Bahrain. Candidates who can join immediately are preferred. Experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, or general building construction projects is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Or Diploma In Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.
