Civil Engineer
Job Description
We are hiring a hands-on Civil Engineer for a Bahrain-based design-build construction and fitout company working on commercial, government and residential projects. The role involves managing structural and fitout works on site, including supervising excavation, foundations, slabs, beams, columns and steel structures; inspecting formwork, reinforcement and concrete pours and arranging testing; managing structural alterations to existing buildings, including openings, lintels and extensions; and overseeing blockwork, plastering and external works. The successful candidate will supervise fitout works from strip-out to handover, covering partitions, ceilings, flooring, finishes, joinery and glazing, coordinate fitout sequencing with mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, check finishes against drawings and specifications, and manage snagging. General responsibilities include leading in-house crews, coordinating subcontractors, setting out works from drawings, checking levels, alignment and quality, tracking progress against the programme and reporting weekly, carrying out site measurements for valuations and variations, and enforcing site health and safety.

- At least 2 years of site experience in Bahrain or the GCC covering both structural and fitout works
- Registered with or eligible for registration with CRPEP
- Able to read structural and architectural drawings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Comfortable with BOQs and site measurement
- Valid Bahrain driving licence
- English is required; Arabic is an advantage
