MEP Construction Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to manage and coordinate MEP works on construction projects, with a strong background in building construction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, preferably on high-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising MEP construction activities from installation through testing and commissioning; managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works; reviewing MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents; coordinating MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams; supervising MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; conducting regular site inspections and resolving technical and coordination issues; reviewing material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions; monitoring manpower, materials, work progress, quality, and project schedules; coordinating testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover; liaising with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management; ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations; and preparing daily and weekly MEP progress reports. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field and have 3 to 7 years of relevant MEP construction experience, including strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects, as well as Bahrain or GCC construction experience, is highly preferred. Candidates must have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems; be able to read and interpret MEP and shop drawings and technical specifications; and have experience managing MEP subcontractors and site teams. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage, along with strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Applicants must be currently available in Bahrain, and immediate joining is preferred.
