Job Description
Responsible for machine setup and operation in a packaging production environment.
Requirements
- Education
- High School Graduate Or Equivalent
- Set up and operate machines.
- Monitor the production schedule.
- Maintain bagging equipment to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Carry out equipment repairs and assist the maintenance department with major repairs.
- Report equipment status and conditions to the shift supervisor and maintenance department.
- Verify that production weighing systems are properly calibrated.
- Ensure that dispensed products meet the weight tolerances for the specific package.
- Inspect packaging materials to ensure they are free from foreign materials.
- Confirm that final packaging is neat, clean in appearance, and properly stacked on a pallet.
- Achieve maximum production while maintaining the quality and completeness of the material produced.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Promote quality in packaged items through a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Monitor production and perform quality control.
- Inspect packaging quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
