We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our growing team in Manama, Bahrain, on a full-time basis. Role summary: As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for independently managing the accounts and VAT matters of multiple clients. You will act as the key point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring that their bookkeeping is accurate, their VAT returns are filed correctly and on time, and their overall financial records comply with relevant regulations. Responsibilities include: - Managing the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of client accounts. - Preparing, reviewing, and filing VAT returns accurately and within deadlines. - Maintaining accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, and bank reconciliations. - Ensuring compliance with VAT laws, accounting standards, and best practices. - Liaising with clients to collect required documents and clarify financial queries. - Preparing periodic financial statements and management reports. - Handling VAT registrations, amendments, and de-registrations as needed. - Coordinating with tax authorities on client-related VAT matters when required. - Proactively identifying and resolving accounting and VAT discrepancies and issues. - Keeping up to date with changes in VAT regulations and accounting practices. - Supervising or coordinating with junior accountants or bookkeepers, where applicable.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field
- Experience
- 5 Years
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification accounting experience, ideally in a firm providing outsourced accounting and VAT services.
- Practical experience with Bahrain VAT regulations and VAT return preparation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, preferably IFRS, and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Tally or ZohoBooks is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Client-focused and professional demeanor, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
