Job Description
Key Responsibilities • Showroom Operations and Retail Sales • Oversee all daily activities on the retail showroom floor and ensure smooth, consistent sales processes for a broad range of consumer and small-to-medium business hardware products. • Manage showroom sales activity for personal computers, laptops, accessories, components, office peripherals, and related technology products offered through the retail floor. • Establish monthly retail sales goals for the showroom team, monitor progress against those goals, and actively drive achievement throughout the month. • Track and support gross margin targets for the showroom operation, with a focus on consistent team performance and continuous improvement. • Manage point-of-sale transactions accurately, including POS billing procedures, daily cash reconciliation, and correct handling of payment settlements. • Oversee settlement of payments received through credit cards and digital payment platforms, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. • Customer Experience and Client Service • Maintain exceptional customer service standards for all walk-in customers and ensure customers receive professional, clear, and helpful support. • Address complex customer inquiries promptly and professionally, including questions related to products, orders, returns, and warranty matters. • Manage product returns efficiently and ensure return cases are handled in line with company procedures and customer service expectations. • Resolve warranty escalation cases with professionalism, proper follow-up, and attention to customer satisfaction. • Guide customers requesting large-volume, enterprise-level, or business-to-business orders to the appropriate enterprise or B2B account managers for specialised handling. • Maintain the retail sales floor layout and ensure the showroom remains organised, presentable, and aligned with company display standards. • Ensure demonstration units and product displays fully comply with company requirements and vendor visual merchandising guidelines. • Inventory and Stock Management • Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain suitable inventory levels on the showroom floor and support product availability. • Focus inventory coordination on fast-moving stock keeping units, accessories, and showroom items needed to meet customer demand. • Carry out regular stock audits and physical inventory counts to support stock accuracy and operational control. • Implement shrinkage control measures to reduce discrepancies, minimise losses, and improve accountability for showroom stock. • Administer clearance sales strategies for End-of-Life items, open-box products, and other stock requiring targeted sales support. • Determine appropriate discounting approaches for clearance items and coordinate display setups to maximise turnover while maintaining showroom standards. • Team Leadership and Performance Management • Lead, mentor, and support floor sales consultants, cashiers, and customer service personnel in their daily duties. • Prepare and manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage, smooth operations, and efficient service across showroom shifts. • Foster a cohesive, professional, and motivated team environment across the showroom sales and customer service functions. • Conduct ongoing training sessions covering product features, technical developments, and customer service skills. • Keep showroom staff informed about the latest technology developments, product offerings, hardware features, and customer support expectations. • Assess staff performance regularly and review individual sales achievements against assigned quotas and performance expectations. • Monitor shift schedules and team productivity to optimise operational efficiency and maintain consistent showroom performance. Qualifications and Key Requirements • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. • Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience within Bahrain is required in retail store management, showroom supervision, or consumer electronics retail. • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in IT hardware, consumer technology, or similar technology-focused retail environments. • Prior work experience specifically within Bahrain is mandatory for this role. • Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership capability is required, including the ability to manage teams effectively and resolve conflicts professionally. • Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of retail POS systems, inventory management software, and daily cash balancing procedures. • Practical technical understanding of PC hardware, laptops, gaming equipment, and office peripheral products is required. • Languages: Fluency in English is required, and the ability to communicate in conversational Arabic is considered a significant advantage. • A valid driving licence is mandatory.
