Barista

The job summary is to prepare and serve coffee, juices, mojitos, shakes, and other beverages as an energetic and customer-focused barista while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and customer service. The responsibilities include preparing espresso, latte, cappuccino, americano, and specialty coffee drinks; making fresh juices, mojitos, smoothies, milkshakes, and other cold beverages; ensuring professional and consistent beverage presentation; keeping coffee machines, blenders, counters, and the work area clean; monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, fruits, and other ingredients; following recipes and portion standards accurately; assisting customers with menu recommendations and orders; ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times; handling customer requests politely and professionally; and supporting team operations during busy hours. The requirements for this role are previous experience as a barista or beverage maker, which is preferred; knowledge of coffee preparation, with basic latte art knowledge considered an advantage; the ability to prepare juices, mocktails, and cold drinks; good communication and customer service skills; the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; flexibility with shifts and working hours; and a clean, organised, and professional appearance. Skills required include coffee machine handling, beverage mixing and presentation, customer service, time management, teamwork, and inventory awareness.
