MEP Construction Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing and coordinating MEP works for high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, and commercial projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising MEP site activities from installation through testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising daily MEP construction activities on site; managing the installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems; reviewing and interpreting MEP drawings, shop drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documents; coordinating MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams to prevent clashes and rework; supervising MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; monitoring manpower, materials, productivity, work progress, and installation quality; conducting regular site inspections and identifying technical or coordination issues; reviewing material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions; ensuring that MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements; coordinating the testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover of MEP systems; coordinating with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management teams; preparing daily and weekly MEP progress reports and maintaining proper site documentation; attending technical and coordination meetings and providing practical engineering solutions; and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and applicable Bahrain construction regulations. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field and have 3 to 7 years of relevant MEP construction experience, including strong practical experience in building construction projects. Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, or commercial projects is highly preferred, as is Bahrain or GCC construction experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems; the ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents; experience supervising MEP subcontractors and site teams; good knowledge of MEP installation, testing, and commissioning; knowledge of construction quality assurance and quality control and HSE procedures; and strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage. Candidates must be currently available in Bahrain, and immediate joiners are highly preferred. Candidates with strong practical Bahrain construction experience, particularly those who have worked on high-rise buildings and large villa projects, will be given priority.
