Job Description
An urgent vacancy is available in Bahrain for a Scaffolding Supervisor. The role involves overseeing scaffolding operations, coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and Health, Safety, and Environment officers, and ensuring compliance with work permits, schedules, safety requirements, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to plan and supervise scaffolding activities across multiple work fronts
- Knowledge of design drawings, method statements, technical specifications, OSHA, BS EN, TG20, or local standards
- Team leadership, mentoring, and task assignment skills
- Experience with on-site scaffolding safety checks and the green, yellow, and red scaffolding tag system
- Ability to inspect pipes, couplers, planks, and ladders before use, reject damaged components, and control site inventory
- Ability to coordinate or co-sign inspections with certified inspectors and coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and Health, Safety, and Environment officers
- Knowledge of working-at-height hazard identification, toolbox talks, fall protection, and enforcement of safety protocols
- Emergency response leadership skills related to scaffolding operations
