MEP Construction Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a strong hands-on construction background and experience managing and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works for building projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating MEP activities from installation through testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover, while ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities - Plan, coordinate and supervise MEP construction activities on site. - Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems. - Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications and technical documents. - Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural and finishing teams. - Supervise MEP subcontractors, engineers, technicians and site workers. - Monitor manpower, materials, work progress and installation quality. - Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, clashes and coordination problems. - Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs and technical submissions. - Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and project management teams. - Ensure MEP installations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedules. - Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification and final handover of MEP systems. - Prepare daily and weekly MEP progress reports and maintain proper site documentation. - Monitor project progress and coordinate with other disciplines to avoid delays and site conflicts. - Ensure compliance with construction procedures, QA/QC requirements and HSE standards. - Attend technical and coordination meetings and provide practical engineering solutions to site issues. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering or a related field. - 3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience. - Strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. - Experience in high-rise buildings, large villas, residential or commercial projects is highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems. - Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications. - Experience in supervising MEP subcontractors and site teams. - Good knowledge of MEP installation, testing and commissioning procedures. - Knowledge of construction QA/QC and HSE requirements. - Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit/BIM or Navisworks is an advantage. - Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills. - Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred. - Must be currently available in Bahrain. - Immediate joiner is highly preferred. Preferred Candidate Candidates with strong practical Bahrain construction experience, particularly those who have worked on high-rise buildings, large villas and major residential or commercial projects, will be given priority.

Bachelor’s Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering Or A Related Field.
