Site Architect
Job Description
We are urgently seeking a Site Architect to join our team. This position is open to local-hire candidates only. Key Responsibilities: • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. • Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with approved architectural designs and specifications. • Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality or design issues. • Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines. • Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. • Review architectural material samples and mock-ups. • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve site-related design issues. • Verify dimensions, finishes, materials, and workmanship against approved drawings. • Prepare or review site inspection reports, snag lists, and technical reports. • Monitor progress and report architectural issues that may affect the project schedule. • Assist with resolving discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions. • Attend site meetings and coordination meetings. • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and project requirements. • Coordinate with the consultant/client team regarding design changes and approvals. • Assist with project handover, inspections, and close-out documentation. • Follow up on defects and ensure corrective actions are completed. Requirements and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. • Professional registration or licensing where required. • 3 to 5+ years of architectural experience, depending on the seniority of the position. • Strong knowledge of architectural construction, materials, detailing, and finishes. • Experience with construction-site coordination and inspection. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office; knowledge of BIM and other project-management software is an advantage. The position is located in the Seef Area, Bahrain. Immediate availability or availability to join as soon as possible is required. Only local-hire candidates will be considered for this position.
