Tailor
Job Description
We are seeking a tailor for a full-time position specialising in the production of children’s bedding, cushions, pillows, covers, fabric accessories, and related textile products. Responsibilities include cutting, stitching, sewing, and finishing products according to provided designs, measurements, samples, and customer requirements; preparing prototypes and sample pieces when required; carrying out alterations and adjustments; properly handling fabrics, sewing machines, and tailoring tools; maintaining a clean and organised work area; completing assigned production work within the required timeframe; minimising fabric waste and using materials carefully; and coordinating with management regarding designs, production requirements, and technical issues. The position requires six working days per week and eight to nine working hours per day.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a tailor.
- Strong sewing, cutting, measuring, and finishing skills.
- Experience with bedding, cushions, home textiles, or similar products is preferred.
- Ability to understand measurements, patterns, and sample designs.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Clean, presentable, cheerful, and professional demeanour.
- Reliable, committed, and responsible with a good work ethic.
- Willingness to stay long-term.
- Skills: sewing, cutting, measuring, finishing, pattern and sample interpretation, fabric handling, sewing machine operation, and quality control.
