Regarding the location and employment arrangement, this is a full-time position based in Riffa, Bahrain. About the role, a reliable and skilled General Automotive Mechanic is required to service and repair everyday passenger vehicles used for professional purposes. The ideal candidate must be efficient and honest and communicate clearly with clients who value convenience, transparency, and high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on common passenger vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, tyre rotations, and fluid checks; diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and cooling-system issues; conducting pre-purchase and periodic vehicle inspections; clearly explaining required repairs, associated costs, and expected completion timelines to clients; maintaining accurate service records for each vehicle; ordering and managing spare parts as required; servicing vehicles efficiently to minimise client downtime; maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment; and demonstrating professionalism and honesty in all client interactions. Regarding the requirements, applicants must have proven experience servicing common vehicle makes, including Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, and similar brands, along with a relevant technical or vocational certification in automotive mechanics, familiarity with standard automotive diagnostic tools and equipment, and a valid driving licence for vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions. Strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, punctuality, trustworthiness, attention to detail, and fluency in English are required, while Arabic language ability is an advantage. Experience servicing a mixed fleet of saloons, SUVs, and everyday-use vehicles is preferred, as is previous experience serving busy professional clients with an emphasis on quick turnaround times and transparent pricing, as well as previous GCC work experience.
