MEP Construction Engineer
Job Description
Support building construction projects in Bahrain by planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring MEP works. The role involves managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations; reviewing MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documents; coordinating with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams; supervising subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; monitoring manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and work progress; conducting site inspections; identifying and resolving technical issues, clashes, and site coordination problems; reviewing material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions; coordinating testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover; liaising with consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and project management teams; preparing daily and weekly MEP progress reports; maintaining project documentation; assisting with material planning, quantity verification, procurement requirements, and project scheduling; and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE requirements, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and applicable Bahrain construction regulations.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Or Diploma In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, Or A Related Field
- Experience
- 3 – 7 Years
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field
- 3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience
- Strong hands-on experience in building construction projects
- Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial construction projects is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Experience supervising subcontractors and site installation teams
- Knowledge of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE procedures
- Good communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage
- Bahrain or GCC construction experience is highly preferred
- Hands-on Bahrain construction experience is preferred
- Experience with high-rise buildings and large villa projects is preferred
